FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out so building work could begin.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
